The former Marywood Academy stands at 2100 Ridge Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. Architect Henry J. Schlacks designed it in 1900 as Visitation Academy, a girls' Catholic school, in a Georgian Revival style with tripartite massing, limestone quoins and belt courses, and Doric pilasters framing the entrance. The Sisters of Providence bought it in 1915 and renamed it Marywood Academy, which operated until 1970. The building later served as Evanston's civic center from 1979 until March 2025, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
