The Farol de Dona Maria Pia, also called Farol da Ponta Temerosa or Farol da Praia, is a lighthouse on the headland Ponta Temerosa at the southernmost point of Santiago island, Cape Verde. Built in 1881 at the entrance to Praia Harbour, it was named after Maria Pia of Savoy, then queen of Portugal. Its white octagonal tower stands 21 m high and remains in navigational use.
