The Folies Bergère is a cabaret music hall at 32 Rue Richer in Paris's 9th arrondissement, built as an opera house by the architect Plumeret. It opened on 2 May 1869 as the Folies Trévise and took its present name in 1872, after nearby Rue Bergère. Its revues were known for extravagant costumes and sets, and in 1926 Josephine Baker caused a sensation there. The Art Deco building is a listed monument historique inscrit.
