In the Ixelles district of Brussels, near the Ixelles Ponds, stands the former house and workshop of master glassworker Clas Grüner Sterner, designed by architect Ernest Delune and completed in 1902. Built between 1893 and 1902, this Art Nouveau structure at 6 rue du Lac seamlessly integrated the artisan's living quarters with his professional workspace, reflecting the period's ideals of craftsmanship and artistic living. The building is now a protected monument, preserving an important example of early twentieth-century Belgian Art Nouveau architecture and the material culture of decorative glass production.
