Former observation tower on Śnieżnik
Poland

No longer standing
Demolished or destroyed.
An observation tower designed by Felix Henry and built in 1899 on Śnieżnik mountain in Poland, this historicist structure now survives only as ruins. Positioned to command views from one of the Carpathian peaks, the tower exemplified late-nineteenth-century European enthusiasm for mountain tourism and panoramic vantage points, rendered in the ornamental vocabulary of historicist design.
