Fort Bard is a fortified complex on a rocky prominence above the town of Bard in Italy's Aosta Valley. Begun in 1830 to designs credited to architect Antonio Francesco Olivero, it was built by the House of Savoy and later fell into neglect. After complete restoration it reopened in 2006 as the Museum of the Alps, with art exhibitions and galleries, and its main courtyard hosts musical and theatrical performances in summer.
