Fort William Lighthouse, also called Cape Coast Castle Light, stands on Dawson's Hill in the old town of Cape Coast, in Ghana's Central Region. Despite its alternate name, it is not part of the Cape Coast Castle complex and lies about 600 metres away from it. Built in 1820, it forms part of the Forts and Castles of Ghana UNESCO World Heritage Site, inscribed in 1979.
