Fredensborg Palace is a château in Fredensborg Municipality on the island of Zealand, Denmark, on the eastern shore of Lake Esrum. Designed by Johan Cornelius Krieger in the Baroque style and begun in 1753, it is the Danish royal family's spring and autumn residence and their most used residence, often the site of state visits and royal events.
