Built in 1894 on South Bonnie Brae Street in Los Angeles's Westlake neighborhood, the Frederick Mitchell Mooers House is an ornately detailed Victorian residence designed in the Moorish Revival style. Named after the wealthy gold miner who owned it from 1898 to 1900, the house—also known as the Wright-Mooers House—reflects the architectural ambitions of late nineteenth-century Los Angeles. It has been recognized as both a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument and a listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
