The French Cable Station is a historic telegraph station at the southeast corner of Cove Road and MA 28 in Orleans, Massachusetts, built in 1891 by the French Cable Company. By 1898 it was the terminus of "Le Direct," a 3,200-mile trans-Atlantic telegraph cable. The building now houses the French Cable Station Museum, with displays of undersea cables, instruments, maps, and memorabilia, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
