The Gaiety Theater was a stand-alone Art Deco cinema on M.H. del Pilar Street in Manila's Ermita district. Juan Nakpil, later named a National Artist of the Philippines for Architecture, designed it in 1935. Like many early Manila theaters, it hosted live entertainment such as bodily, a local adaptation of vaudeville, before most such houses converted to showing films.
