Gaineswood is a Greek Revival plantation house in Demopolis, Alabama, and a significant surviving example of the style in the state. Built with the profits of forced labor, it was largely constructed by enslaved people over almost twenty years and completed on the eve of the American Civil War. The house and grounds are now operated by the Alabama Historical Commission as a historic house museum and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
