Gasometer B is a residential high-rise in Vienna, Austria, designed by the architecture collective Coop Himmelb(l)au in collaboration with Helmut Swiczinsky and Wolf D. Prix. The building represents a conversion and expansion of an existing gasometer structure, transforming the industrial landmark into a multifamily dwelling. Built in Vienna's 11th district, the project exemplifies the late twentieth-century adaptive reuse of obsolete infrastructure, combining the preservation of the original cylindrical gasometer with contemporary residential architecture.
