The Gillender Building was an early skyscraper on the northwest corner of Wall Street and Nassau Street in Manhattan's Financial District. Designed by Charles I. Berg and Edward H. Clark and completed in 1897, it rose 273 feet (83 m) over 20 stories on a narrow 26-by-73-foot lot, with a wind-braced steel frame and masonry infill. It was demolished in 1910 to make way for Bankers Trust's 39-story tower at 14 Wall Street.
