Girona Cathedral, the Cathedral of Saint Mary, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Girona, Catalonia, Spain, and the seat of the Diocese of Girona. Construction began in the 11th century in the Romanesque style and continued in the 13th century in the Gothic style. Its interior holds the widest Gothic nave in the world, 23 metres across, and only the 12th-century cloister and a bell tower survive from the original Romanesque building.
