Glamis Castle stands beside the village of Glamis in Angus, Scotland, and is the home of the Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, open to the public. The Lyon family has held it since the 14th century, though the present building dates largely from the 17th century. It was the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and Princess Margaret was born there in 1930. It is a category A listed building, and its grounds are included in Scotland's Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes.
