The Glass House is a historic house museum on Ponus Ridge Road in New Canaan, Connecticut, designed by Philip Johnson as his weekend retreat and built in 1948–49. Its glass walls and minimal, geometric structure exemplify modern architecture's use of industrial materials such as glass and steel in the home. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1997, it is owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and open for guided tours.
