The Government House in Minsk, Belarus, completed in 1934, serves as the home of the National Assembly and its two chambers: the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives. Designed by architect Iosif Langbard, the building exemplifies Constructivist architecture, a style that defined Soviet modernism during the interwar period. Situated on Independence Square and standing behind a statue of Vladimir Lenin, it ranks among the few structures to survive World War II in the city. As one of the highest organs of national power and symbolism in Belarus, the building remains a designated cultural heritage site.
