Grace Cathedral is an Episcopal cathedral on Nob Hill in San Francisco, California, and the seat of the Episcopal Diocese of California. Its parish, founded in 1849, lost its earlier church in the 1906 earthquake, and construction of the present Gothic Revival building began in 1927, with use from 1934 and final work completed in 1964. Designed by Lewis P. Hobart and built of concrete, it is known for its Jan Henryk De Rosen murals, a replica of Ghiberti's Gates of Paradise, and two labyrinths.
