Grenfell Tower is a 24-storey residential tower block in North Kensington, West London, completed in 1974 as part of the first phase of the Lancaster West Estate. A severe fire on 14 June 2017 destroyed most of the building and killed 72 people. Demolition began in September 2025, and the site is to be replaced by a memorial to those who died.
