The Palazzo Gualino in Turin is an important example of early Italian rationalist architecture, designed by Gino Levi-Montalcini and Giuseppe Pagano and built between 1928 and 1930 for entrepreneur Riccardo Gualino. Originally conceived as office space, the building served Gualino's business interests before being occupied by Fiat and later the city of Turin. After the city sold it to a real estate developer in 2012, a conversion to luxury residential apartments began but was abandoned in 2015; the project resumed and was completed in 2019, when the building was renamed Palazzo Novecento.
