Guédelon Castle is a castle under construction near Treigny, France, and an open-air museum of experimental archaeology. Begun in 1997 under Michel Guyot, owner of the nearby Château de Saint-Fargeau, it is being built using only period construction techniques, tools, and costumes, with wood and stone obtained locally. Its chief architect, Jacques Moulin, designed it according to the architectural model developed during the 12th and 13th centuries by Philip II of France.
