Halmstad Castle is a 17th-century château in Halmstad, in the province of Halland, Sweden. Construction began in 1609 under Danish authority and was likely completed around 1615, with Dutch architect Willum Cornelissen serving as construction manager and architect. The castle is in the Christian IV Renaissance style and resembles contemporary Danish country houses more than a royal palace.
