The Hampton Court Hotel in Miami Beach, designed by architect Martin L. Hampton and completed in 1924, exemplifies the Mediterranean Revival style that flourished in Florida during the early twentieth century. Now a former hotel, the building reflects the period's enthusiasm for romantic, historically-inspired architecture adapted to the subtropical climate and leisure culture of the burgeoning Miami Beach resort scene.
