The Hauptwache is a baroque building and central plaza in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, designed by Johann Jakob Samhammer. The square, one of the city's most famous, was originally named Schillerplatz, a name superseded in the early 1900s. It lies west of Konstablerwache, and the Zeil, the central shopping street, links the two squares.
