Havana Cathedral, formally the Catedral de la Purísima Concepción de María, stands on the Plaza de la Catedral in Old Havana, Cuba, and is a Baroque church. Built between 1748 and 1777 and consecrated in 1782, it serves as the seat of the Archdiocese of San Cristóbal de la Habana. Christopher Columbus's remains were kept there from 1796 to 1898 before being taken to Seville Cathedral.
