Haydarpaşa railway station is a dead-end terminus on the Asian shore of Istanbul, standing on an embankment above the Bosphorus. Built in 1872 in the Wilhelminian style with Ottoman architectural elements, it was designed by Otto Kühlmann and Hellmuth Cuno. Once Turkey's busiest station and the main terminal for trains to Anatolia, it has been out of use since a fire in 2010 and its future remains uncertain.
