Built in 1948 in Huntsville, Alabama, the Henderson National Bank is one of the city's rare examples of Art Moderne architecture. Designed by the firm Warren, Knight & Davis, the building features ashlar stone walls with a dark green stone base and entrance surround on its Jefferson Street façade. The recessed double doors are topped by a tall, multi-pane toplight and flanked by similarly tall windows that create a pronounced vertical emphasis, departing from the heavy brick commercial style of earlier decades. Geometric flower shapes in relief and the bank's name ornament the upper portion, while a rounded corner wall transitions to additional tall windows along the side. A drive-up teller window in light tan brick was added to the rear in 1958. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
