Het Schip, a housing estate in Amsterdam's Spaarndammerbuurt neighbourhood, stands as a landmark of the Amsterdam School style. Designed by Michel de Klerk and completed in 1921, the complex originally housed 102 homes for working-class residents alongside a meeting hall, post office, and elementary school. The building's sculptural brick forms and integrated social functions exemplified the movement's ideals of combining practical housing with community amenities. Now designated a Rijksmonument, Het Schip has been partly repurposed since 2001, with its former school and post office converted into a museum dedicated to the Amsterdam School movement itself.
