Hezareh Castle stands in Minab, Hormozgan Province, in southern Iran, and is listed as Iranian National Heritage. Built of adobe, cob, brick and stone, it is about 15 metres tall and reflects Seljuk, Ilkhanid and Safavid architectural styles. Local tradition credits two sisters, Bibi Minu and Bibi Nazanin, with founding the city and living in the castle, which served a defensive and military function.
