The Hofpoort is a brutalist office building in Rotterdam, designed by architect Piet Zanstra and completed in 1957. Rising 95 meters, it exemplifies the austere geometric forms and massive concrete construction characteristic of brutalism, a style that emerged in post-war European architecture as both a practical and aesthetic response to reconstruction needs.
