The Hohenzollern Bridge crosses the Rhine at Cologne, Germany, in the Altstadt-Nord district. Built in 1911 to designs by Franz Schwechten in the Romanesque Revival style, it is a steel and concrete arch bridge. Originally carrying road and rail traffic, it was destroyed in 1945 and rebuilt for trains and pedestrians only. It is the most heavily used railway bridge in Germany, with more than 1,200 trains crossing daily, and it is an architectural heritage monument in North Rhine-Westphalia.
