The Home Life Building, also known as 253 Broadway, is an office building at the northwest corner of Broadway and Murray Street in Lower Manhattan, adjacent to City Hall Park. It combines two structures erected between 1892 and 1894: the 16-story Home Life Insurance Company Building at 256 Broadway, designed by Napoleon LeBrun & Sons in the Renaissance Revival style and clad in marble, and the 13-story Postal Telegraph Building at 253 Broadway, designed by George Edward Harding & Gooch in the neoclassical style. The two were joined internally after 1947, and the complex has been a New York City landmark since 1991.
