The Hörnum Lighthouse, erected in 1907 on the island of Sylt in Schleswig-Holstein, stands 33.5 metres tall and exemplifies early twentieth-century lighthouse construction. Built from cast iron and reinforced concrete with copper fittings, the structure combines materials typical of its era's industrial and maritime engineering. Designated a heritage monument within the state, it remains a navigational landmark and architectural record of German lighthouse design from the Edwardian period.
