The Hospices de Beaune, also called the Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune, is a former charitable almshouse in Beaune, France. Founded in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin, chancellor of Burgundy, as a hospital for the poor, its original Hôtel-Dieu building is counted among the finest examples of fifteenth-century Burgundian architecture and is now a museum. Patient services have moved to modern hospital buildings, while an important charity wine auction is still held each November, formerly in the great hall of the Hôtel-Dieu.
