Hospital Naval Central in Buenos Aires's Caballito neighborhood is a landmark example of brutalist architecture in Argentina. Designed by architect Clorindo Testa and inaugurated in 1981, the 30,000-square-meter facility serves Argentine Navy personnel and overlooks Parque Centenario. Though the naval hospital institution was established in 1947, the current modernist building represents Testa's 1977 design, creating one of the country's most recognizable brutalist structures through its bold massing and expressive concrete forms.
