The Ospedale degli Innocenti, or Hospital of the Innocents, is a historic building in Florence, Italy, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, who received the commission in 1419 from the Arte della Seta, the city's silk guild. Originally a foundling hospital, it is regarded as a notable example of early Italian Renaissance architecture, distinguished by its nine-bay loggia facing the Piazza SS. Annunziata. Since 1988 it has housed the UNICEF Innocenti Research Centre and an art museum.
