Ixelles, Belgium

Not open to the public
On private land.
The Hôtel Albert Ciamberlani is an Art Nouveau private mansion at 48 rue Defacqz in Ixelles, Brussels, built in 1897 to a design by Paul Hankar. Commissioned by the mother of the symbolist painter Albert Ciamberlani, it was intended as his residence, and he supplied the designs for the large allegorical sgraffito decoration on the façade. Art historian François Loyer has counted the façade among the most beautiful Art Nouveau façades in Belgium, and the house is a protected monument.
