Located in Paris's 6th arrondissement, the Hôtel de Liancourt was a 17th-century aristocratic townhouse begun in 1612 and designed by three of France's most prominent architects of the era: Salomon de Brosse, Jacques Lemercier, and Jules Hardouin-Mansart. The collaborative effort of these master builders resulted in a private mansion that reflected the evolving architectural sophistication of the French nobility during the reign of Louis XIII and beyond. The building stood until its demolition in 1825.
