The Houston Negro Hospital School of Nursing Building, located at the intersection of Holman Avenue and Ennis Street in Houston, is a Spanish Colonial Revival and Mission Revival structure designed by architect Maurice J. Sullivan. Built as part of the Houston Negro Hospital complex (now Riverside General Hospital), it was the first school in Houston established specifically to train Black nurses. The adjoining hospital facility was the city's first non-profit hospital for Black patients, providing crucial clinical opportunities for Black physicians who were systematically excluded from admitting patients to Houston's segregated hospitals. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
