Built in 1904, Howard Lake City Hall stands as a Queen Anne–style government building in Howard Lake, Minnesota, designed to serve multiple civic functions under a single roof. Originally accommodating the city's offices, post office, public library, fire department, and public meeting hall, the structure embodied the multipurpose character typical of early-20th-century small-town civic architecture. Beginning in the 1930s, a municipal liquor store was established within the building—a function that persists today as its primary use, with other operations having relocated to newer facilities. Recognized for its architectural and political significance, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and remains Howard Lake's most prominent structure.
