Huniade Castle is a château in Timișoara, Romania, and the oldest monument in the city. John Hunyadi and Paolo Santini de Duccio built it between 1443 and 1447 over an earlier royal castle from the 14th century. It was later rebuilt by Turkish pashas in the 17th century and by Prince Eugene of Savoy in the 18th, and its present appearance dates from a reconstruction in the 1850s. It houses the History, Archeology and Natural Sciences sections of the National Museum of Banat.
