The Igreja de São Roque is a Catholic church in Lisbon, Portugal, and a National Monument of Portugal. Designed by Filippo Terzi in the Baroque style, it was the earliest Jesuit church in the Portuguese world and served as the Society's home church in Portugal for over 200 years. After the 1755 Lisbon earthquake it was given to the Holy House of Mercy. Its most celebrated feature is the Chapel of St. John the Baptist, built in Rome of precious stones and reassembled inside the church.
