The Immaculate Conception Cathedral stands in Apatzingán, Michoacán, Mexico, and is the seat of the Diocese of Apatzingán. Built in the second half of the twentieth century in the Modernist style then in vogue, with a rationalist character, it replaced an earlier adobe and stone church after growth in the city created a need for more space. The building was elevated to cathedral rank on July 24, 1962, when the diocese was created.
