The Institut Català de la Salut building, completed in 1946 in Barcelona's Dreta de l'Eixample district, exemplifies the synthesis of Noucentisme and Chicago School influences characteristic of early twentieth-century Catalan modernism. Designed by architect Lluís Bonet Garí, the structure combines the rationalist aesthetic principles of Noucentisme—emphasizing clarity and order—with the vertical massing and functional logic of American Chicago School architecture. Originally conceived as an administrative center, the building retains urban protection status, recognizing its architectural and historical significance within Barcelona's planned urban fabric.
