The Insurance Building, located at 115 N. Douglas Avenue in Ellsworth, Kansas, is a two-story Victorian brick commercial structure built in 1887–1888 by local contractor Frank Easterly. Designed in an eclectic Queen Anne style, it exemplifies the Victorian commercial architecture that flourished during Ellsworth's period of rapid expansion as the northern terminus of the Texas cattle trail, when the city shipped over three million cattle between 1871 and 1874. The building was modified by Easterly again in 1929. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006 and recognized as a contributing property to the Ellsworth Downtown Historic District, it is valued for both its historical significance to the city's development and its architectural representation of the era's commercial design.
