The J. Mora Moss House is a boldly romantic Carpenter Gothic Victorian home built in 1864 and now located within Mosswood Park in Oakland, California. Purchased by the city in 1912, the wood-frame house exemplifies French and English Gothic influences adapted to domestic architecture, earning recognition by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1960 as "one of the finest, if not the finest, existing examples" of such work in the East Bay Area and possibly Northern California. Designated Oakland Heritage Landmark #6 in 1975, the house remains one of five historic homes owned by the City of Oakland and currently serves as office and storage space for the Parks and Recreation department.
