The John B. Hanten House stands at 518 E. Kemp Avenue in Watertown, South Dakota, a three-story Colonial Revival residence built in 1913 on a full basement. Its structural tile walls are clad in dark bronze vitrified brick laid in running bond, with Doric pilasters at the corners. It is one of the few known surviving examples of domestic work by local architect Maurice A. Hockman, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
