The John Lothrop Motley School is a Renaissance Revival school building at 739 N. Ada Street in Chicago's West Town neighborhood. Built in 1884 to a standardized plan by John J. Flanders, chief architect of the Chicago Board of Education, it has an asymmetrical layout that departed from the symmetrical Italianate schools before it. The school operated until closing in 2013, and the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.
