The Jordan River Utah Temple is a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Jordan, Utah, and the 20th operating temple of the church. Designed by Emil B. Fetzer in a modern architectural style, it has a single spire topped by an angel Moroni holding the gold plates, a feature found on only a few temples. Church president Spencer W. Kimball conducted its groundbreaking on June 9, 1979.
